Membership is open to laboratory technical staff (including retired technicians) in all levels of educational institutions in Victoria.

Membership is a calendar year – January 1st to December 31st regardless of when the membership fee is paid. LTAV membership belongs to you, the Lab Tech, not the school. If you leave your school you take your membership with you. LTAV membership is not transferable. More information about LTAV membership can be found here.

Membership is free for technicians in their first year as a technician in an educational setting. Click here to view the first year membership policy.

Membership benefits include:

    • Access to LTAV regional professional development sessions.
    • Four issues of Lablines per year.
    • Discounted Labcon registration.
    • Eligibility to join the LTAV committee.

Lablines is posted before the end of each term. The first issue is posted to all members from the previous year as a courtesy because membership payment isn’t due until April 30th and the first issue goes out before then. It is important to note that although membership payment can be made any time during the membership year, you may miss out on some issues of Lablines if you pay after April 30th.

Returning members:

Registration is annual and membership cost is $55 (inc. GST).

Online registration and payment:
Credit card payment or invoice payment via bank transfer options are available when registering through the online Renewal of Membership form. The Tax Invoice will be emailed to the applicant upon submission of the form.

Registration and payment via email or post:
Bank transfer available when registering through the downloaded Renewal of Membership form. This form is also a Tax Invoice.
